David E. Bowen, 73, of Malvern passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015. He was born February 26, 1942 to the late Edgar and Sylvia Turner Bowen in Malvern. David worked for Baroid & Almond Asphalt and was a United States Navy Veteran serving during Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with this family. He was a member of the B & B Hunting Club.
David is survived by his loving wife, Connie Bowen; daughters, Dana (Rick) Ross and Deanna Outlaw; son, Randy (Marie) Bowen; brothers, Preston Bowen and Dewayne (Jamie) Bowen; sisters, Lucille Morrison, Zella (Bub) Felty and Joyce (Carol) Wetherington; grandchildren, Rodger (Gerica) Shackelford, Justin (Ashley) Shackelford, Lenzey (Brett) Crow, Taylor Ross, Chesley Bowen, Kaylee Bowen, Katie Frederickson, and Michael Frederickson; nine great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Kali, Braxton, Hunter, Isabella, Mylee, Bentley, Laiken, and Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 12:00 until 1:30 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Rockport Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM with Bro. Barney Fuller officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the U.S. Navy Honor Team.
Pallbearers will be his family. Honorary Pallbearers are the staff at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
